The Town of Akron requires citizens to register pets, both dog and cat, to verify rabies vaccination and assist locating for lost animals.
Registration is done at Town Hall, 250 Main Avenue, Akron, CO 80720, please bring your most recent proof of rabies.
Town Limitation for # of animals: up to 5 cats and 3 dogs per household.
Cost of Registrations:
- $10.00/year for intact animals
- $5.00/year for spay/neuter animals
- License is valid for the year up to three years depending on the life span of vaccination and # of years purchased.
